Paul Hicks designed Duchy of Warsaw foot artillery

 The foot artillery have arrived!
I think Paul has done a great job again
I wont have any painted for a few weeks so these are jsut the bared metal
They havent even been cleaned - this is how they came from the casters
 Loads of character yet again
The gun here is a French 8lb
This would I think be more correct for late 1812 to 1814
From 1809 - Borodino etc Austrian 6lb might be more apt, but the French guns would be correct as well
I am able to supply either French 8lb or Austrian 6lb
Choice of crews either loading or firing
Please contact me for details - email is in contact details.

Guest Poles

A first on my Blog!  Pictures painted by someone else!
Me grande amigo from Spain, Juan Carlos, painted some of these Murawski Miniatures Poles.
I think he has sone an excellent job.
By the way; foot artillery are now available just waiting to take pictures.

Some oldies but goodies

Foundry French horse artillery with howitzer

For some reason I like limber teams. I think its something to do with Peter Gilder.
If you look carefully you'll see that every figure is different.
I've also used the French in camp set to add "volunteer" labour
As well as some gunners to one of the teams.
You'll note the French greanadier on the right now a gunnery seargeant
Not sure if the guy at the back should have been smoking a pipe
I really like these figures as so full of character
I like all the other bits you get with the guns as well
The bases are deliberately huge and are influenced by Barry Hilton
More pictures of the horse artillery
Finally a close up of the gun being moved by hand

Heroic Poles and commands

We recently had a Borodinesue battle at Chez Blaireau featuring 2,000+ figures. The players were moi, Ken P, Big Red Bat, and Will "the cabbage" De Pretre. And Puss.............
The Russians won but BRB is covering the battle on his blog but I wanted to show some pictures of my Perry Russian command.
Perry's - lovely to paint, f*cking horrible to preoare.
I love this shot Simon took of Ney!
 Napoleon et boys.
Kutusov (Ken?) is p*ssed and Bagration (RTB obviously) looks dashing.
The only French unit that performed well was the Poles!  They very nearly swung the battle on their own! Note the inpet Bavarian light infantry..................
1st and 2nd battalion of the 5th regiment.
Below are some very old Foundry French line infantry painted by me. I think they may be the first I ever painted actually.  I dont think they ever made it to the front line!
